Ithaca Authors Presenting “Farming the Woods” Book on Nov. 19th

Local authors, teachers and researchers Ken Mudge and Steve Gabriel–through the frameworks of forest farming and permaculture–present a way to see the forest for more than just the trees. They have published a new book from Chelsea Green Publishing (VT) called Farming the Woods.

Green Building Open House Comes to the Institute’s PDC Site

Cayuta Sun is pleased to welcome visitors to our rural, off-grid home, gardens, and forest during the tour of green buildings on Saturday, October 13th. This home and and its surrounding landscape and serves as an educational space for the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute. Students and teachers from the Institute will be present to answer questions and give tours.
